Modern Beautiful Atoll Sectional Sofa

B&B Atoll Modern Sofa is the design work of Antonio Citterio
Antonio Citterio was born in Meda (Milan) in 1950 and started his design office in 1972, graduating in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1975. Between 1987 and 1996 he collaborated with Terry Dwan and together they designed Architecture Europe and Japan.

The modular fabirc Sofa, named after its coral form, perfectly embodies a balanced aesthetic form and a decidedly modern style, while also being extremely elegant. The system is built on three basic platforms, supplemented by armrest and backrest elements, forming various types of seating: sofas, daybeds, corner end modules, single or modular elements with chaise longue and footrest. The frame has light, slender lines applied to high-pressure cast brackets with metal profiles, emphasizing the lines between structure and interior decoration.
These pieces are given further character by a supporting element that can be placed wherever required, a cushion in two sizes connected to the die-cast structure by straps. This accessory can be inserted between the seat cushion and the base structure to provide additional support, and can also be transformed into an armrest or backrest at will. Atoll modern sofa is a dynamic project with a fresh ability to constantly adapt to different combinations and create different seating types, from informal relaxing versions to the most formal ones, also possible through the use of complementary cushions.
